Sienna Private Credit (formerly Acofi Gestion) builds investment products and solutions that meet the expectations of large institutional investors. Its initiatives focus on real assets and more specifically private debt with €2.5 billion of assets under management. The proposition encompasses four main sectors: corporate, real estate, infrastructure in the energy sector, and public sector.

Job purpose

The Private Debt analyst will be based in Paris and will be reporting to the Head of Credit Research. The Credit Research team underpins the firm’s investment processes. The analyst will be expected to contribute to all aspects of these processes:

  • Assess credit risk associated to Sienna Private Credit investment opportunities:
    – In‐depth analysis of counterparties’ historical financial accounts and business plan
    – Incorporate macroeconomic conditions, industry trends and ESG analysis into credit opinions
    – Perform liquidity analysis under stressed scenarios
    – Assign internal credit rating to borrowers
  • Follow regularly counterparties’ solvency (ongoing basis and annual review)
  • Develop in‐house analysis tools, including rating frameworks and integration of ESG into financial analysis
  • Monitor macro‐economic, industry specific, customer related

Job requirements

Education:

Advanced degree in business or engineering

Experience:

First successful experience (min. 2 years) in a credit analysis intensive role (within a bank, an asset manager, a debt advisor, a rating agency)

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Deep understanding of financial accounting, financial modelling and credit rating
  • Excellent drafting and communication skills in both English and French
  • Strong commitment in ESG and impact investing
  • Good knowledge of European private debt markets and products
  • Full proficiency using Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively in a small team, proactive and able to take initiatives
