A first closing of 100 million euros for the “Special Situations” fund of Ver Capital, an entity of the Sienna IM group in Italy
Ver Capital SGR, an Italian management company within the Sienna Investment Managers group, active in the corporate credit market for over 17 years, announces the first closing of its “Ver Capital Special Situations” fund, reaching 100 million euros.
This fund, which aims to raise 300 million euros, is designed to support companies facing temporary financial distress but with strong recovery prospects. Ver Capital targets companies with a turnover exceeding 50 million euros, providing support through debt, equity, and the introduction of new managerial resources.
The Italian regulatory environment, particularly following the introduction of the new Corporate Crisis Code, favors this type of investment. The fund, with an eight-year term, aims to carry out around a dozen transactions with double-digit returns.
Andrea Pescatori, CEO of Ver Capital, highlights that this type of fund, inspired by the Anglo-Saxon model, enables solid companies to emerge from crisis situations with appropriate financial and organizational support. A second closing is expected by the end of the year.
