Sienna Private Credit provides junior financing to Italian renewables player
The junior financing is backed by photovoltaic assets developed, operated and owned by Infastrutture, a solar and wind Italian developer. This €7 million transaction is the first junior debt financing of Predirec EnR 2 fund in Italy.
The loan refinances the equity capital injected for the construction of photovoltaic projects with a total capacity of 13MWp. It is backed by the cash flows generated by ground and rooftop power plants. With this transaction, Infrastrutture strengthens its financial resources to accelerate its development worldwide.
With this milestone, Predirec EnR 2 fund continues its deployment on 100% sustainable assets. In total, from the fund first financing, Predirec EnR 2 enabled to finance 858 MW of projects, equivalent to an annual production of 450 GWh or, in other words, the electricity consumption of c. 95,000 households. This will save c. 280,000 tons of CO2.
Predirec EnR 2 fund complies with article 9 requirements, as defined by the European SFDR (Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation). The fund is also Greenfin certified.
